This colourful beach resort combines modern facilities in a Caribbean location full of Latin life and culture. Varadero is Cuba's most established holiday resort and is situated on a lush, narrow peninsula, with a long, white powdery beach and clear blue sea. Nightlife, watersports and entertainment come in very large quantities here, giving it a very different feel to all other areas on the island. An ideal choice for a beach holiday, one of its major attractions is the dolphinarium where the whole family can swim with the dolphins. Varadero is also a good base for visits to Havana, which is about a 3-hour drive away.
